Honda Civic Take Part in WTCC















Suzuka - Celebrating 40 years of career as well as 50-year Honda Civic Suzuka Circuit, Japan, the Honda Civic is prime to take part in racing WTCC (World Touring Car Championship) at the Suzuka Circuit.

Honda was actually never participated in the 2008 WTCC season, a Honda Accord Euro. This time, Honda's return to WTCC with Euro Honda Civic (hatchback) are armed with Honda's i-VTEC engine 1.6-liter four-cylinder direct-injection turbo-charged.

Honda Racing in collaboration with JAS Motorsport for this race car development project. Team Honda Racing entrusted to the driver wheel racing nationals Portugal, Tiago Monteiro.

Honda also said it will follow the whole series of races in full WTCC championship next season. Honda has been testing the performance of the Honda Civic Euro's during the summer of 2012 in several world-class circuit, such as, Vallelunga, Slovakia Ringm and Portimao.

In a race that was held last weekend, Tiago Monteiro finished in ninth in the first race. While the second race Monteiro finished in the top 10. In total, Team Honda Racing has managed to collect three points.

Team Honda Racing will go down in the next WTCC championship series at the Shanghai International Circuit, China on 3 and 4 November.
